Recaro Specialist M Seats
Review: I installed these seats in my car about 6 years ago and didn't start using it unitil 5 Years ago and they are a huge disappointment. The first problem was they were getting these little lint balls on the fabric, kind of like wool gets so I had to go out and buy a lint shaver and after a year they began to already show wear. Now mind you this is a car driven only in summer and with COVID I haven't been driving many places in the last 2 years. Now the driver's seat side bolster has completely failed, the fabric is still ok but the underlying foam is totally degraded, Sickening. I contacted Recaro (01/16/22) see what they say. Update: RECARO contacted me and stated that the seats have a 2- year warranty and that I could get replacement foam for $75.00 not including shipping. See Fixing the car for what i did.

Bowler Night Stick Shifter for Tremec 6 Speed
Review: Had to replace the horrible White Lightning shifter that came with my American Powertrain kit, I chose the Bowler Night Stick after getting over the sticker shock, I installed it with great results a massive improvement over the White Lightning. What else needs saying it works no problems.

American Powertrain Tremec 6 Speed Conversion Kit 1st Gen Camaro
Review: I installed this kit. Overall very complete however it has its problems 1- the shifter (White Lighting offset) attaching method is horrible and kept coming loose so I would be driving and my shifter handle would come apart after a few miles used all kinds of loctite it just sucked, I upgraded to a Bowler Performance shifter , perfect never looked back. 2- The hydro-max throw out bearing started leaking after about a year, junk I upgraded to the RAM Clutches Heavy Duty TO bearing, it has more O rings and a wiper ring so no dirt can get in the Hydromax only has one O-Ring and no wiper ring, no problems after going to the RAM. The kit went in easily but when I bought this they were one of the only companies out their now there are many. So now I would shop around. When you install this kit make sure the tranny and bellhousing are perfectly aligned don't skimp on this step, with the old 4 speeds you could, not with Tremec. After some thought at the time there were very limited places you could go for these kits now I would probably look into Bowler as their shifter is really good and their Customer service was great other than the shifter and TO bearing the American Powertrain kit worked well.

Harrison Labs Flux Capacitor
Review: Harrison Labs Flux Capacitor, looks like something out of the 50's but if your running a serious or competition stereo system you need it. Essentially it stabilizes the voltage going to your system as long as you have 10 to 11 volts going in 14.5 will come out. looking at there website there is even a way you can boost the alternator with one to charge a bank of batteries. I am using two in my car and they work great.

VariShock Aluminum Body SS Factory Set Shocks
Review: This is a review of the VariShock aluminum body SS factory set shocks for the First Gen Camaro. Installation on Rear was straightforward on the front required enlarging the hole in the lower control arm. Looking at the shock they appear to be a high quality item. Mounted them in the car and proceeded on a trip of about 400 miles. Shock made the car feel soft and "floaty", not good. Shocks did not inspire spirited driving at all. Reinstalled Bilsteins, they are still the king.

Mark Williams Ford 9 Inch
Review: Mark Williams Enterprises Ford 9 Inch Rear. Many Years ago in 1994 I had this company make a custom rear end and axles for the car. Its been in service in the car for over 20 years. Over this time I've sent the third Member out to change gears, not because they broke but to change the gears out. This is an awesome company with awesome customer service.

Bilstein Shock Absorbers: Front Shock: P/N 24-029728, Rear Shock: AK2074
Review: Bilstein shocks are so far my go to shock they give me the best compromise between performance and ride quality, they keep the ride firm without making it harsh and inspire spirited driving. I had to use the 1968 shocks as they no longer make the heavy duty shocks for the rear of the 1967.

ADDCO First gen Camaro Front and Rear Swaybar Sets
Review: Addco Swaybars have been around forever and make several different antisway-bar kits for the car, customer service has been great. Kits are easy to install and work great. To be fair I haven't tried other brands because these have worked so well. You can call them direct for any special parts like adjustable end-links or if you have a different rear end as with my car I have a Ford 9 inch rather than a GM rear. They just mailed me the necessary parts. The weak point is that the rear bars mount using a U bolt and wedge this can sometimes come loose the fix is once installed is to tack weld the u bolt to the axle or mounting area, it may even be necessary to tack weld the wedge as well. But this is a minor problem for the gains achieved.

Phoenix Gold Elite Amplifiers
Review: I have used Phoenix Gold Amps Since the 1980's. Since the 80's the company has made some products that were not up to their previous standards. Now they have the Elite product line. I use the Elite.1 and Elite.4 Amps in my application. Absolutely a top notch product, crystal clear audio and sound. Volume only limited by the speakers and available power. Amazing Product on and actually above the bar set by the venerable MS series of amps of 80's. Great Job Phoenix Gold.

Clarion NZ503
Review: The Clarion NZ503, Offers everything I need and real GPS Satellite Navigation. The reason I prefer satellite GPS over cellphone is I don't need a cell tower signal for it to work and when travelling there are many areas where cellphone service is not the greatest. Being that the car is a classic car those old radios were single DIN and rather than hack up my dashboard I used this single DIN unit. Motorized touchscreen, Bluetooth etc. Pretty much everything you need. Onboard equalizer is good but doesn't make crappy sounding MP3's sound as good as the Kenwood Excelon series. Can be buggy sometimes and I have to restart the unit by turning it on and off. Clarion Customer support phone prompts aren't the greatest but once you get them on the phone they are helpful. Otherwise a Solid unit that works well and sounds good. Very flexible I actually have attached it to an Ipod touch via Bluetooth and can run Pandora, I-Heart and all similar applications thru the unit. I also have TV going thru it. HD radio, satellite radio and many apps.

Global West Del-A-Lum Rear Leaf Spring Shackle Kit
Review: Global West bushings, a grease-able aluminum and Derlin bushing A real Pain in the butt to install especially in the frame rails. Once installed well worth it. Ride is firm but not overly harsh, you will feel a pothole if you hit one, but its more than bearable. High quality product, well made. Handling is improved over rubber, launches are dead straight and no wheel hop.

Michelin Pilot Super Sport
Review: 2 Summers On The Car great grip was able to pull over .95g on an exit ramp on my g meter..In a 67 Camaro ! with no loss of grip I could have pulled more but my wife was getting mad so I backed off. So far wearing well. Good in the rain too, yes I drive the car in the rain. Very responsive to steering input. Seem very sensitive to tire pressure though depending on pressure the tar strips can pull the car. Previously had the Firestone Wide Oval on the car a good tire too, but these are the best I've had so far.

Quick Fuel Q-Series Blower Carburetor
Review: I know with all the hype about fuel injection set-ups these days, why did I use a Carb..well I wanted to keep some things old school on the car and most of the affordable fuel injection units are limited to 500 to 600 HP my motor is beyond that, so I went Carb and I am glad I did. This carb is infinitely adjustable and with these adjustability features its damn close to fuel injection.
The main difference between this and other carbs is the Power valve channel adjustment, you can go well beyond just a simple power valve change you can actually adjust how much fuel the power valve lets in not just when it lets it in. Awesome. Couple this with a wideband fuel air ratio gauge and you don't even need to go to a Dyno tune. Had it on the car for two seasons no problems car runs great. Performs great.
Love the carb.

Ron Francis Wire Works
Review: I originally discovered this company in 1990 when I rewired the car I bought a complete kit from them, the quality was impeccable all wires were individually labeled which made rewiring a breeze. They also individually serialized the fuse box and promised to keep the information on file for life and a lifetime warranty. Fast forward to 2013, I was messing with the fuse box and melted one of the fuse holders (my fault). So I call them to get a new one (purchase not get one for free), they told me they don't have any of the records and that they make a completely new type of box. This meant that I had to trace all the wires individually and figure out how it correlated to the new box as the layout and labeling used was different. I purchased the above unit and the quality is even better than before and after a couple of days I got it installed. This company has an amazing amount of electrical parts wiring and components. I was disappointed that they did not have my information on file as promised but they madeup for it with the sheer volume of product and its quality.

Turtle Wax Bug and Tar
Review: This the best bug and tar remover out there that I've used so far. Spray it on wait a minute wipe off, leaves a great shine as well. Works Great on those things detail spray cant handle like animal guts on the side of your car. You know what I am talking about you go to a show and you start cleaning the car and on the side of the car is a random piece of whatever. This will take it off.

SuperTech Engine Cleaner Foam Spray
Review: First let me say this is a light duty cleaner, if you have caked on 10 year old grease this will not work on it. What it is good for is light cleaning of oil and crud on the engine and undercarriage. Also in my experience it does not remove paint and to top it off I got it for $1.96 a can, you cant go wrong. I use this so much I buy it by the case.
Highly Recommended for light cleaning of engine and undercarriage.
Pinnacle Detail Spray
Review: Bought a gallon of this product and used it on my cars left a beautiful shine with no streaking it is a great product, but the Meguiars Mirror Bright leaves a shine just as good for less than half the price. A great product but you can get just as good for less than half the price with the Meguiars.

Digitails LED Lights
Review: Install was a little bit of a pain as the instructions weren't the greatest when I first installed them. The instructions since then have been improved. Also requires you to replace the flashers with ones for LED units. But once installed they are great. Much brighter than the stock bulbs, also sequential effect is awesome. Lifetime warranty which they have honored no problem. Stand-up company, great product. The added benefit is they use very little power.

Canton Racing Accusump
Review: First off this thing with the accompanying electric valve, LED light and the braided line you will need is damn expensive. The unit itself is high quality as is the electric valve, the only issue I have with the unit is the gauge they use makes its very difficult to get accurate 7 to 10 pound pre-charge, its just not a small enough scale. Where Canton really drops the ball is the in the accessories: 1- the toggle switch that came with the valve was minus the On/Off plate, so I had to go out and buy a switch and scavenge the plate from it. 2- the LED light that comes with the light kit is of great quality but near useless due to the tiny screws and tiny wires needed to connect it, they are type of wires found in a computer case, very thin gauge like a hair, not in a car. So I had to go out and purchase a light that took normal connectors. Why would you need this unit? Well it serves two functions, 1- is a pre-oiler so you have no more dry starts, 2- to make up for times when the oil pump is cavitated like in a sustained high G turn. After install it does work as advertised and the electric valve makes it hassle free. But due to its expense make sure you really need one.
